Full Scottish – 20/10/2019

Welcome to the Full Scottish from our Cowcaddens Studio in Glasgow.

Full Scottish starts at 12:00 midday on Sunday 20th October 2019

This week on the Full Scottish, Kenny McBride is joined by guests Amy Callaghan in the studio and by Scottish Constitution Secretary, Michael Russell MSP via Skype.

On Thursday, Boris Johnson returned from Europe waving a piece of paper saying Brexit in our time, but the House of Commons yesterday decided it did not think his deal was worth the paper it was written on. Under the Benn act, Boris Johnson was required to send a letter requesting an extension to Article 50 and the Court of Session in Edinburgh ruling meant he could not frustrate the intention of the act, so how will the Scottish Court view the PM’s behaviour in not signing the required letter and sending a second letter contradicting the first.

In another packed programme, we will be discussing Brexit; Scottish Exports; Catalonia; the continuing protests in Hong Kong; the impeachment process against Trump in the US and a look at what could be happening in the week ahead.
