We’ve been cooking up a gourmet Full Scottish for you this week, and we’re delighted to announce that Fiona Hyslop MSP will be joining us in the Yesbar.

Fiona Hyslop was elected MSP for Linlithgow in May 2011 and was appointed Cabinet Secretary for Culture & External Affairs. The portfolio responsibility for Europe was added in November 2014.

In May 2016, she was appointed as Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs.

We’ll be chatting to her about the Olympics and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as well as Brexit and the other topical issues on the show.

2014 Judo bronze medallist Connie Ramsay will be talking about the Rio Olympics. The Opening Ceremony is of course on Friday, August 5, the same day as the launch of the Edinburgh Fringe, and on the show to look at the world renowned festival is performer Matt Regan. Matt is performing Greater Belfast at the Traverse.

Music this week is from Luc McNally. A traditional guitarist and singer, Luc is a former student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, originally from Consett in County Durham, but now based in Glasgow. Luc is also a member of the up-and-coming trad combo Dosca.
