This week’s Full Scottish is a tale of Pride and Prejudice, or can Scotland be proud or our ambitions to celebrate diversity and to tackle all forms of discrimination and hatred and were we right to tell US President, Donald Trump that he is not welcome in Scotland

Cameron Archibald’s guests this week are, writer, comedian and broadcaster, Hardeep Singh Kohli and Glasgow Central MP, Alison Thewliss.

Alison Thewliss - Full Scottish

Alison Thewliss

Alison Thewliss is the SNP MP for Glasgow Central, first elected in May 2015 and re-elected in June 2017. She is the SNP spokesperson for Treasury and Cities in Westminster.

Prior to her election as an MP in 2015, she served as Glasgow Councillor for the Calton Ward in the East End. Alison was the Glasgow SNP Council Group’s spokesperson on Land and Environmental Services, and she takes a keen interest in improving local government and democracy. She is a member of Scottish CND and believes passionately in the scrapping of nuclear weapons.

Alison lives in Glasgow with her husband and 2 young children.

 

Hardeep Singh Kohli - Full Scottish

Hardeep Singh Kohli

Hardeep Singh Kohli is a writer, presenter, comedian and broadcaster known for his love of food and hilarious anecdotes. He’s a regular figure on British television, appearing frequently on The Wright Stuff, Question Time and Newsnight Review.

In 2006, Hardeep took part in the first series of Celebrity Masterchef and was a proud runner-up. He later presented New British Kitchen series with John Torode. Hardeep frequently performs at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and is a food writer at The New European.
