100 Days: Gavin Newlands MP

 

Gavin Newlands MPMichelle Rodger interviews Gavin Newlands MP, one of the 56 SNP MPs elected in May, about his experiences in his first 100 days in the House of Commons, as the newly elected MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire North.

From election night and the shock of victory, to his maiden speech and the “breath of fresh air” which the #SNP56 brought to the House of Commons, Gavin gives an insight into the archaic rituals and need for modernisation at Westminster.

This is the first in a series of short interviews in which Michelle Rodger introduces you to people who are making a difference to life in Scotland.
